Boomerang Creek, which was sold in 2008 to new owners, was badly damaged by the tsunami that hit the south coast of Upolu Island on 30th September 2009. We expect the resort to be closed for some time for re-development and will update this page as news develops.


Boomerang Creek Resort is a small traditional resort straddling the coastal road - the beach fales are on a thin strip of grassland with a rock sea wall, backing on to the road. The restaurant and hill fales are across the road. However, there is not much traffic here so this shouldn't bother too much - the main drawback is the beach infront of the fales is rocky - it's a short stroll to Saleapaga Village where the beach is lovely. The resort offers a full range of activities including kayaking and game fishing as well as a fine restaurant and bar on the slope of a hill overlooking the road / ocean.



Boomerang Creek offers five spacious beach front fales with enclosed bamboo walls and private veranda. Each fale has its own private bathroom (set apart from the fale in a separate building). Across the road is the main restaurant ascending the hills are another seven smaller fales. Beachfront is a mix of sand and pebbles and a large rock sea wall - the lagoon in front is not ideal for swimming or snorkelling but it is a five minute walk to a fine sand beach.
