Sinalei Beach Resort suffered significant damage from the tsunami that hit the south coast of Upolu Island on 30th September 2009. The resort will be closed until January 2010 for redevelopment.

About Sinalei Reef Resort
Set on a hillside with lust tropical rainforest and spacious lawn areas, Sinalei nis a blend of serenity and sophistication. A large central traditional styled fale acts as the hub of the property housing the restaurant and reception and overlooking a meandering pool. On the oceans edge is a more casual restaurant and sunset bar with a pontoon extending into the lagoon for swimming and snorkelling Maninoa Beach extends from the edge of the property where the watersports and activity centre is located. There's a large tropical spa hidden amongst vegetation on the hilltop and a nine hole pitch and putt golf course exclusively for guest use.

Sinalei offers a variety of acommodation, all in stand alone air-conditioned bungalows set amongst tropical vegetation.
Garden Bungalows
Garden Bungalows are located on the hilltop beside the golf course and in spacious lawns amongst landscaped gardens. These bungalows have open plan living with Queens size bed and lounge seat with an ensuite bathroom featuring an outdoor tropical shower.
Ocean View Bungalows
Ocean View Bungalows have similar interior living space to the Garden Bungalows but finishings are to a higher standard and bathrooms are slightly larger. The Ocean View Bungalows are located on the hillside with private verandas offering ocean views through the tropical vegetation. Some bungalows have a separate lounge area, others have a jacuzzi tub on the veranda.
Beachside Bungalows
The Beachfront Bungalows are tucked against the hillside amongst ancient tropical trees and look directly over the ocean. At low tide there's a lovely soft white sand beach snaking around the tree trunks. Beach Bungalows and traditional in design with timber walls and offer open plan living with high ceilings, King size bed and lounge area. Large louvre windows surround the room with a wide French door at the front opening up to a large wooden deck allowing views of the ocean from inside.
The furthest of the Beachside Bungalows is the most secluded and has an extra large wooden deck with a private jacuzzi pool - this is the Honeymoon Fale.
